Canoe clubs are a great place to learn kayaking and canoeing skills as well as being a great place to meet fellow paddlers. The majority of local canoe clubs run the BCU Star Award Schemes and various other training courses throughout the year. In addition to paddling in home waters many of the local canoe clubs organise trips to locations throughout the UK and some even abroad.
Ride the West Hill Cliff Railway up to the Smugglers Adventure in St Clements Caves and afterwards have a game of crazy golf on the UK's biggest adventure golf complex, home to the annual World Crazy Golf Championships!
Or take the steepest cliff railway in the UK up to the East Hill or the 197 steps for views over the Old Town and Channel.
Hastings-Tonbridge region offer a range of attractions for the short break visitor and families looking for what to do in Hastings. From Britain's steepest funicular, to the meandering alleyways of the Old Town, it's a great place to explore for a few days.

Flamingo Park is an amusement park and entertainment centre offering a range of rides for all the family including a rollercoaster, dodgems and boating lake. A perfect day out for families with children, whether you are on holiday, enjoying a weekend break or simply having a day out with the kids is Drusillas Park in East Sussex. Hastings also boasts a lively (and growing) arts scene. Every year the coastal Current Arts Festival brings a stunning variety of works and performances to Hastings. This innovative, creative side to Hastings comes out in unexpected places. The seafront is now decorated with several impressive light displays – including the wonderful Sticks of Rock!
