Language Schools in Hastings

Hastings has a large number of language schools, most within easy access of the town and attractions.

 

All the Language Schools who work with Hastings have signed up to a Code of Practice and belong to Hastings Overseas Student Advisory Council (HOSAC).

 

Schools also sign an Annual Declaration committing them to ensure quality standards in terms of education, school liability, student welfare and standard of host family accommodation. They also meet regularly with Hastings Council Officers, Sussex Police and youth development officers from East Sussex County Council (ESCC) to ensure students are guaranteed a safe and enjoyable stay in the town.

 

Many schools are members of the English in Britain Accreditation Scheme and also members of the British Council a national quality assurance scheme for the UK English Language Teaching sector. Accreditation provides students with a guarantee of quality and provides English Language Schools with a range of promotional and developmental benefits.

 

Hastings Information Centre is a 'one stop student shop' where students can find out about bus, coach and rail tickets; journey planners, music and art events and buy souvenirs, maps, stamps, event tickets and the Fusion Card.
