Horse Riding in Hastings

Equestrian centers in Hastings & Tonbridge area offer horse riding lessons, classes and hacks for riders of all ages (both adults and children) and standards. They specialize in dressage training and in particular the formation of novice partnerships, both horse and rider, and their progression. They also offer novice jumping lessons.

Group and private riding lessons. Their horse riding lessons are taught in small groups for children and privately for adults and are gauged towards ability and ambition. Riding lessons vary hugely from pre-school riding lessons for ages 3-5 years and specialist dressage lessons using the “Goggin method”.

Riding school horses. Riding lessons are taken on either their own horses, and they also have many training liveries that all have various goals that they are aspiring towards as part of the riding schools. You can find out about them in our horse and pony profiles.

They can provide all required safety equipment (hats, boots and back protectors where necessary) – beginners should wear comfortable tracksuit trousers.

Riders are requested to wear long trousers and a shoe or boot with a low, flat heel. Trainers, sandals or flip-flops are not allowed. They have a selection of riding boots that you can borrow for your lesson, but we can’t guarantee to have your size available.

Wear clothing that is suitable for the time of year and weather conditions on the day. Gloves are a good idea whatever time of the year you’re riding. Your lesson might be outside so bring a coat if it’s cold or raining.
